Like most prepubescent girls in the 1980s, I wallpapered my bedroom with pages torn out of Tiger Beat magazine and posters I bought at the Record Bar in the mall that was most likely being trolled by Roy Moore at that very time. As I grew older, I replaced the pretty boy pictures of heart throbs with The Smiths and The Cure album covers, Benetton ads and Interview magazine covers. My work will never become pop culture icons, but they can be found amongst them in an upstairs closet.
