My Work.
Social Media and Digital
In 1996, I designed my first website using Microsoft Word about F.W. Ayer, the founder of the oldest advertising agency in the United States, for an interactive advertising class in graduate school. After graduation, I joined the dot.com boom working for the now defunct DejaNews where I enjoyed the perks of free lunch, free beer and an endless supply of Pop Tarts. That lasted four months until I got laid off along with the two other people hired with me...not even long enough to build up my digital portfolio let alone for my stock options to vest. If I had lasted another year or two, I probably wouldn't be updating my portfolio now because I would be living off the millions made when DejaNews sold out to eBay and Google. Alas, I'm slowly getting there—building my cadre of digital and social media work, not millions of dollars.
